PBM #1: Basic Modeling
for PBM #1, We created a nut and bolt, a screwdriver, a wine glass, and a chess piece. Something that was easier than expected was getting the chess piece to look rounded. Something that was harder than expected was getting the screwdriver to not bend for some reason, as well as make the wineglass properly align itself. When I started this project, I somewhat had to rush it to catch up, but by the end I was taking my time. some earlier skills I used on this project were centering the objects by right clicking on the arrows to adjust location. some of the skills I learned on this project were how to properly use certain modifiers like the lathe tool, as well as the concept behind an objects "faces".
PBM #2: 4 Corners Scene
For PBM #2, we got to create a simple landscape with separate distinct areas in each corner of a plane. It helped prove and reinforce my abilities to move and rotate items of a wide variety to different locations using coordinate systems.
PBM #3: Animated 4 Corners
For PBM #3, we learned how to simulate movement in a 3ds scene. We learned about the different kinds of movement paths, how to make an object follow a specific path vs just keyframing, and we learned how to make scale different objects to make sense with more scenes. we also learned the NTSC standards, and how to scale time and frames.
PBM #4: Lit and Cameras 4 Corners
For PBM #4, we learned how to add lights to the scene, as well as cameras to record from more than just a fixed angle. I had a lot of fun with this section because experiencing this for the first time really let me see how some of the more complicated animations even work. I've seen plenty of 3d animations, and the camera is never just at a fixed location. I really like learning how these things work, and the lighting is just the cherry on the top.
Vignette PBM
For this PBM assignment, we had to create a vignette using two base models. For the background I used a picture I took Colorado, and for the dog, i used a royalty-free image I found online. The most difficult part of this assignment was making the vignette actually get down to the dog, without cutting off any parts of the dog itself. I decided to move him behind the horizon for some flair. Overall, a fun assignment.
Masking PBM
For this PBM, I decided to put some fruit in the sea. I figured it would be random and unexpected. Once I had the fruit, I decided for an extra touch to find a sign that advertises the fruit. Once I saw the sign that didn't list either of the fruits i used, I knew it would be most surprising. I had some challenges with the sign as it was harder to mask, since the background wasn't a solid color. Overall, this assignment was pretty fun. I can see how the skills of grafting completely separate images together has real life applications, like creating a preview of what furniture would look good in a house or something.
Rough Character Sketch Project
For this project, we were tasked with drawing several character sketches and then coloring them using color themes. the blacksmith on the left is a hardworking, integral man. hes been working the forge long enough to singe all the hairs off his body. the zombie in the right is supposed to represent the average citizen. someone who used to dress well and have a personallity has since been reduced to a loose, floppy, impulse-driven walking husk. finally, the cultist in the middle is supposed to clearly represent evil. her book contains secrets unknown, and she plans on keeping it that way.
Design Matrix
For this assignment, we had to use each element given to demonstrate each principle given. At first I tried to avoid using color at all if it wasn't for color itself, however once I got past color I realized that color can be used supplementary to help convey what the image itself actually is. Some of the hardest parts of this assignment included brainstorming how to use the elements properly, as well as how to show what I want to show without too much use of the other elements.
Storyboarding Project
For this project, We were tasked with creating a storyboard about one of our previously created characters. After careful deliberation, I decided on the zombie. I picked him for two reasons: First, he was the character that I worked the hardest on creating. Second, I feel like a story about a zombie could be interesting. In order to accurately portray this, I decided to tell the story in a post-apocalyptic setting. I also used a first-person perspective, because it helps create suspense in the reader. The easiest part of this storyboard for me was creating a plot, while the hardest was portraying that this is from the perspective of the "evil" that has caused this event, especially without color. I decided on the title "downfall of an era" because I wanted to illustrate that this was it. the drawn panels were the end of the line. Finally, as a creative and poetic touch, all of the text subtitles are haikus.
Cheeseburger In Paradise
For this project, we were tasked with creating a cheeseburger with shading and lighting, then bringing this cheeseburger into a menu made from scratch for a fake restaurant. I actually had a lot of fun learning tools like the mesh builder to add shading to the burger, and the drop shadows to give a 3d effect to the burrito. If I were to redo this project, Id like to spend a bit more time on the burrito, but I got cut a little short.
This project was pretty daunting at first: this burger we had to create looked perfect and we were far from experienced. However, as I got to learn the tools required, and now that I'm looking at my final project, I can safely say this was an extremely enjoyable experience and really helped me learn just how to use adobe illustrator. My favorite part of this project was being able to make jokes like misspelling dessert and listing deserts, and defining the burger as though it was a taco. Overall I feel this project was a great exercise of skill in Adobe Illustrator.

Personal Video Project: Sad stick: Side-effects And Solutions
For my project, I want to create a PSA against Jake's "Sad Stick". In order to do this, I'm going to have a "breaking news" segment, with the intro and stuff, then I, as a host, introduce the problem of the sad stick sweeping across the nation. Then, I'll comedically list all the side effects, cut to Jake as the CEO giving a "statement" where he clearly doesn't care. then ill introduce the happy boulder, make a joke about how the side effects are still being tested, and then cut back to normal content.

Anchor: Interrupting our previous program, a new trend is sweeping the nation. That’s right, it’s this product right here: The Sad Stick. The Sad Stick is just as it sounds: It’s a stick that you hit yourself in the head with whenever you are too happy.
Anchor: Now, this multi-billion dollar product has been found to cause several health complications, including but not limited to: headaches, dizziness, nausea, cramps, short term memory loss, long term memory loss, long term memory gain, astral projection, emotional projection, internal bleeding, external bleeding, violent tendencies, pacifistic tendencies, dementia, confusion, delirium, appendicitis, kidney stones, gallbladder stones, heartburn, heartache, heartbreak, heart attacks, heart stones, and even death. The CEO and sole inventor of the product had this to say on the matter:
CEO: …… Ok. ……
Anchor: There are some precautions viewers can take to protect themselves from this weapon. Avoid contact with sticks, and take up a nihilistic approach on the earth. This way, the sad stick can be avoided all together. In fact, someone else has created a countermeasure for the issues with the Sad Stick: The Happy Boulder. Just apply to the source of pain from a height of 20 feet and your problems will go away. We will update you all when more testing is done. That's all for today. We will now return to the regularly scheduled program.
