For this project, we had to create a cohesive video that stitched together various clips with the addition of at least one sound effect, rolling credits, and subtitles, with some other stuff too. I honestly just wanted to keep it simple, as obvious, over-the-top sound effects and visuals are more annoying to me than anything. Turns out, this was a poor decision. By doing more subtle effects, I had to pick good specific audio that didn't stand out too much. I had a lot of fun doing the subtitles, however. Overall, this is a great addition to my portfolio.

For this assignment, we were tasked with employing the 180 rule in a skit. i tried my best to have a lot of fun with this project, and take it from a stance most students would. for video projects like this, its a lot more fun to stitch together audio in a cohesive manner than with just images. I like it way more that using just still images.
For this project, we were tasked with editing one fluid video using all the editing techniques we learned in class. the most difficult ones to implement were the audio related ones, things like L and J clips. I also had difficulty finding a fitting audio. The final hurdle I ran into was when I used up my 20 seconds with more things I wanted to add. My solution was I quickly just changed the goal of my edit to not crunch things up or force a new clip. there are times when scourging the previous clips for a good one is helpful, but in this instance I thought it would be a fun twist on the norm to make something new and unexpected
For this project, we had to create a thematic edit that stitched together several different video clips to form one cohesive theme. In order to do this, we had to do a couple things differently from the previous assignment. first, we needed to use transitions between videos. second, while not necessary, I tried to make the clips as sensical as possible. I had to use two different people but I'll live. I can see why people who do video editing also tend to do audio production; being able to make the audio to perfectly suit your video is incredibly important in conveying the theme of the project. a fun touch I added was I used the original audio from some of the clips as background audio, which I feel really ties this whole project together. It thankfully wasn't much more difficult than the photo project. I'm honestly looking forward o doing this project on a longer scale kind of thing so I can make a whole story instead of just a little clip.
For this assignment, we were tasked with creating a video focused on a sole color, then having the video go through different images of said color. For honors students, we also needed to add music that the changes matched up with. I feel pretty good about the final product. there were a couple of hurdles, mainly lining up audio perfectly with video, and dealing with poorly sized images that I had to crop down to full HD. Overall, I feel that this is a good start with Premier, and I'm looking forward to using it more in the future.
For this project, we had to use a variety of tools to simplify and replicate a movie poster. I chose a FNAF poster because it would be really difficult to do humans even simplified. With this project, I tried to replicate lighting coming in from the eyes and spreading to the rest of the suit. I also tried to replicate the feeling of someone else peering in, with the nose looking like the pupil of the eye. overall i feel lie i did decent with the second aspect, but the first one was pretty difficult to implement.
In quarter 3 of my Computer Modeling and Animation Honors class, I started by learning UVW mapping and unwrapping, then I moved on to Adobe Illustrator and got used to frequently used tools like the pen tool, the shape builder tool, the mesh tool, and the likes. I hope to finish out the year strong, because having the knowledge to visually assemble things can be used in every walk of life. I feel like my ability to bring aspects from both previous quarters to life in every project I work on is really coming together. Even after I graduate, taking these skills to college for promoting things like enrichment activities or maybe getting paid for commissions while I pursue my education will be vital to my entire future life and career.
For this assignment, we were tasked with using the Pen tool to outline two of the 3 options given for each section. in addition, everyone had to outline the very last option. I really enjoyed doing the one large single piece outlines, but the several smaller pieces were quite a bit smaller. I also enjoyed doing curves way more than straight lines, but this assignment would be much harder without the guide to trace over. This assignment is great because it helps teach us how to properly use the pen tool, which has so many uses in vector modeling. for example, this tool can be directly applied to things like logo creation. overall, this is one of the more difficult but more fun tasks assigned to us up to this point.
For this project, we just had to complete the Beziér game with nodes to spare. I actually had to take some extra time to complete this, because i was going for the very highest score i possibly could. The reason this was an issue was i had two attempts that got almost done but then stopped right at the end because my computer died or i had to change periods. This resulted in several hours of lost work, which is unfortunate but oh well. This project was a great way to learn the pen tool for Adobe Illustrator. Tracing out objects quickly for little prototypes is an important skill, and I feel that the skills learned by doing this project are going to apply to any sort of visual design i could pursue, regardless of their relation to Adobe tools.
For this project, we were tasked with creating a series of badges that would represent a skill set. I chose python, and used pythons coming out of jars--kind of like they were being charmed--to represent the skill levels. as it progressed, I ran into several problems. The first was that the scales were really hard to work out in a way that looked good. If I were to recreate this project, I would make the scales in a image, then use a download of that and make a clipping mask to put the scales onto the snake. I really wanted to make a snake with an open mouth, but it was just too difficult for my skill set. overall however, this is one of the first successful projects I made in illustrate, and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.
